You can cancel an order at any time. How much we refund depends on how far the work has gone and whether a government fee has already been paid. The table below gives the short version; the sections after it explain each case.
| When you cancel | Our fee | Government or state fee |
|---|---|---|
| Before we start work | Refunded in full | Refunded in full (not yet paid) |
| After work has started, before submission | Partial refund at our discretion | Refunded if not yet paid to the agency |
| After the filing has been submitted | Not refunded | Not refunded once paid, unless the agency refunds it |
Our fee
- Before work starts: if you cancel before we have started work on your order, we refund our fee in full. An order that is still waiting for your intake form or documents has not started.
- Once work has started: we may give a partial refund at our discretion, reflecting the work already done, such as reviewing your documents, preparing forms or booking a service with our filing partner.
- Once a filing is submitted: our fee is not refunded, because the work has been done. This applies even if the agency later rejects or queries the filing; we tell you why and what is needed next.
- Yearly services: once a yearly service, such as a registered agent or registered office address, has been set up, it counts as started.
Government and state fees
Government and state fees are refunded only if we have not yet paid them to the agency. Once paid, they are generally not refundable, because agencies such as US states and Companies House rarely return fees. If an agency does refund a fee to us, we pass the full amount on to you.
Quotes
For services marked "Get a quote", you pay nothing until you accept the fixed price. If you decide not to go ahead, there is nothing to refund; just let us know and we will cancel the order.
How to request a refund
Send a message from your portal on the order you want to cancel, or email support@borderlessfilings.com with your order reference. Tell us whether you want to cancel the whole order. We confirm the amount we will refund before we process it.
Please contact us before opening a dispute or chargeback with PayPal or your card issuer. We can usually resolve things faster directly.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back through the method you paid with where possible. PayPal and card payments made through PayPal are refunded to the same PayPal account or card. Bank transfer, Wise and Payoneer payments are refunded to an account in the name of the person or company that paid. How long the money takes to reach you depends on the payment method and your provider; card refunds in particular can take several business days to appear.
Your legal rights
This policy does not affect any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live that cannot be excluded by contract. It forms part of our terms of service.
