What this service is and who it is for
This service is for founders who want a Payoneer account for their own US LLC or UK Ltd, and for freelancers who are moving from a personal Payoneer account to a company one. Our filing team prepares the company documents, fills in the sign-up with you, helps you answer Payoneer’s verification and questionnaire requests, and follows up until the account is approved or declined.
The account is always in your company’s name, with your real details. You complete identity verification yourself and keep your own password and two-step login. Payoneer’s security center tells customers never to share passwords with anyone, and we never ask for them. We do not sell pre-made or "verified" Payoneer accounts, and we cannot promise approval.
What a Payoneer company account does
Payoneer is built for getting paid from abroad. Its receiving accounts FAQ describes a receiving account as a set of bank account details in a specific country and currency. Local transfer details include:
- USD in the United States (ACH)
- EUR in the Eurozone (SEPA)
- GBP in the United Kingdom (BACS, CHAPS and Faster Payments)
- JPY, AUD, CAD, HKD, SGD, AED and MXN
A client pays your company like a local supplier, and you withdraw to your bank or pay others from the balance. Freelancers and sellers also look to Payoneer for marketplace payouts from platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr and Amazon. Payoneer’s pricing says fees for payments from marketplaces and integrated platforms vary by marketplace, and each marketplace decides which payout methods it offers in your country, so check the marketplace’s own payout settings.
Receiving accounts are for business payments only. Payoneer says only payments for business transactions from business accounts are supported, and payments sent from personal accounts are declined. Ask clients to pay from their company account.
Individual or Company: choose once
A registered LLC or Ltd should sign up as a Company. Payoneer’s sign-up FAQ says to choose Individual if your business is not registered, and Company if it is registered or incorporated. It also says that once you have signed up, you cannot change the account type from Individual to Company or the other way round. Picking the wrong one is a common reason founders end up with a second application.
The same FAQ says Payoneer cannot support direct registrations through its website from some countries and territories, without listing them on that page. We check your country in the live sign-up flow before you start.
Payoneer fees
Payoneer’s pricing page (last updated 1 January 2026) shows its standard fees. It says different fees may apply by territory, account type and onboarding channel, and that your own fees appear during registration and under the Fees link in your account.
| Item | Standard Payoneer fee |
|---|---|
| Payment from another Payoneer customer | Free |
| Payment into a receiving account in your local currency | Free |
| Payment into a receiving account in a currency that is not your local currency | 1% (minimum 1.00 USD or equivalent) |
| Client pays by credit card | Up to 3.99% + 0.49 USD or equivalent |
| Client pays by ACH bank debit (US only) | 1% |
| Payments from marketplaces and platforms | Varies by marketplace |
| Withdrawal to a bank in the same country and local currency | 1.50 USD |
| Annual account fee | 29.95 USD, only for accounts with low activity over 12 months |
Payoneer’s two public fee pages describe the annual fee’s activity condition differently (the about pricing page uses another threshold), so rely on the Fees link inside your account. The sign-up FAQ adds that a one-time registration fee of 29.95 USD may apply in some countries and territories; where it does not apply, joining is free. There is no government fee for a Payoneer account.
What Payoneer asks a company for
Payoneer’s document verification FAQ lists what companies may be asked to provide:
- Certificate of registration or incorporation
- Tax or IRS documents (for a US LLC, the EIN letter)
- A business license, where one applies
- Proof of company activity
- A utility bill or bank statement under three months old showing the company name and legal address
For the people behind the company, Payoneer asks for a national ID, driver’s license or passport, and may ask for proof of address. The sign-up FAQ warns that an expired ID will delay approval or lead to rejection. Its business ownership FAQ says you must identify direct and indirect owners above its threshold, and it may ask for a document showing the ownership structure, ideally an official government record.
Why was my Payoneer account restricted?
Payoneer does not publish one list of restriction reasons on the help pages we checked. What its help pages do say points to the usual causes:
- Missing or out-of-date verification. Payoneer says it verifies identity, bank details and address as a regulated entity. An expired ID delays approval or leads to rejection.
- Ownership details not provided. Payoneer asks for owners above its threshold and a document showing the structure.
- Payments that do not fit the account. Receiving accounts accept business payments from business accounts only.
- Login sharing. Payoneer tells customers never to share passwords. Letting anyone else into your account puts it at risk.
If your account is restricted, sign in, read the message or document request in your account, and answer through Payoneer’s own channels with documents that match your company records. Do not open a second account to get around a restriction. We can help you prepare the documents and a clear reply as part of this service.
What is included and not included
- Included: a country and business type check, a document pack (formation documents, EIN letter or Companies House records, operating agreement or share details, ownership chart, address proof), filling in the sign-up with you, receiving account questionnaire help, verification follow-up and a portal record.
- Not included: approval promises, identity checks on your behalf, holding your login, accounts in anyone else’s name, and legal or tax advice.
How it works
- Order and intake. Start your order, tell us where you live, where the company is registered and how you get paid.
- Secure document upload. Share company documents, ID and address proof through the portal. See our security page.
- Preparation. We check that names, addresses and numbers match and draft your business description and expected payment sources.
- Sign-up with you. You create your own login, choose Company, and we fill in the details together. You complete identity checks on your own device.
- Verification and receiving accounts. We help with document requests and the receiving account questionnaire. Payoneer says receiving account approval usually takes from several minutes to up to 3 business days.
- Decision and handover. Payoneer approves or declines. Everything we prepared stays in your portal for future requests.
What we need from you
- Formation document or certificate of incorporation
- EIN letter (US LLC) or company number (UK Ltd)
- A valid passport or national ID for you and other owners
- A recent utility bill or bank statement with the company name and address
- Your website or profile links and a short note on who pays you and how
Timelines
Payoneer does not publish a fixed time for full company approval on the pages we checked; it gives the receiving account estimate above. Our team starts once your intake and documents are complete.
Doing it yourself vs using us
You can sign up with Payoneer yourself on its website. Our help is worth it when you want the account type, company details and documents right on the first attempt, because the account type cannot be changed later. We also help when Payoneer comes back with document requests. For founders in Pakistan, see US LLC or UK company from Pakistan and PayPal in Pakistan. For other providers, see Wise Business, Mercury and our payment account overview.
